The Nashville community has a myriad of skincare treatments at their disposal whenever needed.

While it’s generally hard to separate what’s real vs. what’s too good to be true, some treatments pass the vibe check and withstand the test of time — and those are usually the treatments most people prioritize.

But when countless beauty icons swear by it, that’s when you know you have something special.

And that certainly seems to be the case with microneedling and PRP

These two treatments are taking the Nashville, TN community by storm — and their rise to stardom has a lot to do with the Hollywood celebrities who have openly shared their experiences and results with fans.

So, let’s take a closer look at this powerful anti-aging duo and the celebrities who endorse it.

Microneedling: The Little Needle That Could

Microneedling is a minimally-invasive skin care procedure that uses a small device with superfine needles (no more than 2.5mm long) to create tiny punctures, known as micro-injuries, in the top layer of your skin.

These micro-injuries trigger the body's natural healing response, which stimulates collagen and elastin production — ultimately helping improve skin texture, firmness and appearance, among other benefits.

It's essentially tricking your skin into thinking it needs to heal.

As it heals, the skin grows back more youthful and resilient.

PRP: A Tiny Dose of Your Own Medicine

PRP therapy, also known as platelet-rich plasma, is the process of injecting a concentration of platelets and growth factors from your own blood back into the skin, where it promotes healing and skin health.

The PRP can be injected into the face for skin rejuvenation or in the hair to prevent hair loss and promote hair growth. It’s also used in sports medicine to help accelerate healing and reduce recovery times.

It’s essentially giving your skin exactly what it needs — more of itself.

When injected into the right areas, it can treat everything from wrinkles to acne.

Better yet, PRP can be combined with microneedling. The micro-injuries created by the superfine needles allow for deeper penetration of the PRP into the skin. It’s a minimally-invasive process with fast results.

Celebrities Who Approve of Microneedling & PRP

When celebrities reveal their beauty secrets, fans all around the world listen.

In recent years, we’ve seen a wide variety of A-listers break their silence about what makes them look so young year after year — and you’d be surprised at how many are endorsing microneedling and PRP.

From Oscar winners to chart-topping musicians, the Hollywood elite have embraced this revolutionary skincare duo, helping to transform these treatments from industry secrets to mainstream must-haves.

And we’re going to highlight some of the most prominent endorsements down below!

10. Angelina Jolie

The “Maria” actress was first linked to microneedling in 2009 after fans noticed a radiant glow in her skin at the Cannes Film Festival. As per British magazine Grazia, it was due to microneedling.

More specifically, Grazia claimed Jolie’s secret was a result of derma rolling — a unique handheld device studded with almost 200 fine surgical steel micro-needles, according to the Los Angeles Times

9. Jennifer Aniston

The “Horrible Bosses” actress had good things to say about microneedling in a 2019 interview with People magazine, where she praised the treatment for its enhancement of certain serums.

“I do micro-needling! I just learned about it a couple months ago from a facialist in New York. It allows the serums and whatever products you’re using to really soak in," Aniston said, per Hello! Magazine.

She later confirmed the procedure in a 2024 interview on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” where she infamously admitted that the facial involved microneedling her skin with salmon sperm — yes, you read that right.

8. Gwyneth Paltrow

The “Iron Man” actress raved about microneedling being one of her top-five natural beauty products and practices she swears by during a 2016 exclusive interview with Well+Good

“They take teensy acupuncture needles with vitamins and inject the surface of your skin with them. I was like, what the heck? It didn’t even hurt that much, but it just seemed weird,” Paltrow told the outlet.

“My skin looked really glowy for a number of days, I have to tell you,” she added.

7. Demi Moore

The “St. Elmo’s Fire” actress was highly criticized for her “unrecognizable” look on the Fendi runway in 2021, but made a comeback several years later thanks to procedures like microneedling.

As one Life & Style source explained in February 2025, Moore is “focused on maintaining her youthful glow” and “opting for less invasive things like micro needling, facials and just taking care of herself.”

6. Kim Kardashian

The beauty mogul was first linked to microneedling and PRP (known as a vampire facial) in 2013 when she shared an unfiltered post-treatment selfie of herself on her Instagram.

She later approved of the results in a post on her website. “I know it has so many benefits for your skin. Kourtney is a huge fan and I know a lot of other people that love it, too," she wrote in the post, per Allure.

Her journey with microneedling continued in 2021 when she took to her Instagram to share a photo of herself before undergoing radiofrequency (RF) microneedling. She, again, raved about the treatment.

5. Kourtney Kardashian

The 45-year-old reality star most notably endorsed PRP on the season 17 premiere of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” in 2019, when she underwent treatment for hair loss.

“Today I’m getting PRP [platelet-rich plasma], which is where they take your blood and spin it and they use your plasma and they inject it in my head for my hair to grow back,” she said in the show, per People.

She was told she would need “two or three series, maybe once a month for the next three months.”

4. Bar Refaeli

The 39-year-old Israeli model, who appeared on the cover of the 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, revealed in a 2013 Instagram selfie that she undergoes microneedling with PRP.

“Ahead of the live broadcast of The X Factor, tonight at 9:00 PM, I went to Der Pola for a facial. "Vampire treatment" you'll understand for yourself…” she wrote in the caption, per a Hebrew-to-English translator.

3. Kate Beckinsale

In a 2021 interview with the Sunday Times, the “Van Helsing” actress denied claims that she had Botox injected into her face — but she did endorse her use of platelet-rich plasma therapy.

"I do like PRP, when they take your blood [plasma and reinject it into your skin]. That’s a real thing, from your own body. But not with scary poisonous things!” she told the Sunday Times in her 2021 interview.

2. Victoria Beckham

In 2020, the former Spice Girls singer and wife of soccer star David Beckham took to her Instagram Stories to share a photo of herself undergoing a microneedling procedure with vitamins.

“Here for Victoria I have ‘needled’ in a medical-grade Hyaluaronic acid and vitamin cocktail into the skin to enhance results,” her dermatologist wrote in a subsequent post, describing it as her “go-to treatment.”

1. Holly Willoughby

In 2019, the English television presenter, author and model underwent a unique facial that included a combination of radiofrequency, photon light therapy, microneedling, antioxidants and more.

“Wow ! [Holly] has seriously amazing skin to work with,” her dermatologist wrote on Instagram. “The results is a beautiful discreet lift , luminous glowing dewy skin looking forward to the #skinjourney holly.”
